I am a Linguistics Professor working in Brazil.

I am a professor at the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG). I have previously worked at the International University for the Afro-brazilian Lusophony (Unilab, Bahia). Between 2012-2016 I was a  postdoctoral fellow in Linguistics at the University of Campinas, Brazil. Before that, I studied for a MA degree at the University of Brasília, and a PhD at the University of Campinas. I have also done research at the University of Quebec at Montreal.

I am interested in the structure of language (syntactic theory), on language variation and change and how structure and meaning interact (syntax/semantics/pragmatics interface). I have a particular interest in Romance languages, especially in Portuguese, Spanish and French varieties.
